Summer Capsule Wardrobe for Littles
It’s much (emphasis on much) more enjoyable for me to build Sutton’s wardrobe than it is to build mine. The probable reason for this is because anything I put on that cute chunky baby boy is CUTE. Like, extra cute. The only wardrobe problem we have had with him is that his thighs have been too chunky for certain one pieces - and I think that’s the most incredible thing ever. Even though I could very quickly and easily spend a whole paycheck on summer clothes for him, I can’t afford that. And I’ve found that the more random clothing items we have for him, the more cluttered his closet, dresser, and nursery feel. And if you know me, you know that a cluttered room = a cluttered brain. Sutton has been growing so incredibly fast and so I have had to grab some new clothes for him appropriate for summer weather. As I wrote in this post, I’m not quite sure I will ever get to the point where my wardrobe would be considered a “capsule”. And it’s the same for my baby’s wardrobe. Although, I’d like to be intentional to buy him quality pieces that will work for multiple occasions and last for future babies. I enjoy having plenty of fun (and super cute) options for him but don’t want to own an excessive amount.
Regardless of whether you’re trying to build a different wardrobe for your baby OR just want to add some quality pieces to his/her summer wardrobe, here’s the list I put together a list of some of the pieces we’re currently loving and are planning to use all summer long!
